Terms of Service
Last updated June 3, 2026
This is a plain-language starting template, not finished legal advice. Have it reviewed by counsel before launch.
These terms cover your use of Castpilot — the desktop app, the website, and related services. By using Castpilot, you agree to them.
Using Castpilot
You may use Castpilot to edit and produce content you have the rights to. You're responsible for what you put in and what you publish — including having permission to use the recordings, music, and footage in your projects.
Your content is yours
You keep all rights to your recordings and the work you create with Castpilot. Because the app runs on your machine, we don't claim any license to your media. We make no claim of ownership over your output.
Plans, credits, and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis and include a set amount of processing credits each cycle. You can change or cancel your plan at any time; changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Top-up and one-time add-ons are charged when you buy them. Trials are free and require no card.
Acceptable use
Don't use Castpilot to create or distribute unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, or to abuse the service or the people who run it. We may suspend accounts that do.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party providers (for example, transcription, AI text generation, or publishing to a social platform). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.
Warranty and liability
Castpilot is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the prior twelve months. Keep your own backups of important files.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and let you know. Continuing to use Castpilot means you accept the updated terms.
