- What's an hour?
- One hour of recording you put in. A 90-minute episode uses 1.5 hours — and out comes the finished episode, the clips, captions, thumbnails, and the posts. Rendering on your own machine is free and unlimited; only cloud render uses a little extra. No counting clips, no per-export fees.
- Do I have to upload my video to the cloud?
- No. By default Castpilot finishes your show right on your machine, and your files never leave it — great for confidential work. Cloud render is optional, for when you want it faster or your computer's busy.
- What does cloud render cost?
- It uses a little of your monthly hours — a one-hour episode is about two hours in the cloud, versus rendering free on your own machine. The app always tells you before you choose, so there's never a surprise.
- Is cloud render private?
- Your upload is encrypted, rendered, and then deleted — we don't keep your media. And if it can't leave your machine at all (client footage, NDAs), just render locally. That's the default.
- How much do I save with annual?
- Two months free — you pay for ten, you get twelve. Flip the Monthly / Yearly switch above to see your price either way. You can start monthly and switch later.
- Is the copywriting really included?
- Yes — on every plan. Titles, descriptions, show notes, chapters, and per-platform posts are written for you in your brand voice. It's not a paid add-on.
